My waka design
We learnt about the waka hourua. For our school production we are doing the Horouta story about Kiwa and Paoa. They travelled from Hawaiki to Aoetearoa and settled in Turanganui a Kiwa.

About Me
My name is Ethan. I like basketball and netball and football and hockey. I go to Makaraka School and am in Mrs Hannah’s class. I am a New Zealand Maori and Pakeha. I have blonde hair and green eyes and am tall for my age. I live with my mum, Kim, and my dad, Nick. Mum is a hairdresser and dad works for Evans Funeral Services.
This year I am looking forward to playing netball and soccer for the school and doing the science fair. I wonder why waves are in the ocean. I would like to get to purple for reading this year. My brother and my dad inspire me because I look up to them and I love them. I want to be like my brother, his name is Michael.
I enjoy building and playing Lego at school. We do this in loose parts play. I like reading but I find some of the words really hard. I love going on my Chromebook. I like Teach your Monster to Read, Education.com, and Studyladder 6. I also like making presentations about things I like. My last one was about Lamborghini. I found out that they are very loud and fast and that they can only fit two people, like Ferrari. Math equations are hard for me and I would like to find something to really help me, like a calculator.
